September 202314 September 2023 Taking it easy and heading along the back roads Joanne has been on a mission to find Orchids, so she planned and navigated our trip while I just drove the rig, stopping here there and everywhere along the way for her to search and for us to camp. Having spent some time inland we decided to have a few days on the coast before the school holidays started and the peace and quiet ended. We stopped at a camp that we haven't been to for a while just North of Green Head where there is a $20 a night camp next to the beach, and while the sunrises and sets might not have been what I was looking for, I still managed this shot of Milligan Rock.
Milligan Rock during a very meh! sunrise. Our booked time at Milligan Rock came to an end so we made our way inland to another past camp at Lake Indoon, commonly referred to as Lake Blowalot, reference to a past camp when the heat was in the 40's and so was the wind! The last time we were there the lake was empty, but now, after good rains, it was full. A few days at the lake were very nice but it was time to move on, so we made our way to the free camp in Moora for a few days and then booked ourselves into the cheap and cheerful Transit Park at Dandaragan where we will be until the end of the month. ...
Mark Twain once said "...years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do that by the things you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbour. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover." - and so we will. |
